“Skip built our house in 2017. Before we picked a contractor we had 4 separate estimates. Skips came in 15% lower than the next lowest. We were skeptical at first and went through it line by line looking for the catch. I called people I knew in the business to look over the estimate to see if he was buying subpar material or cutting some corners I was not aware of, and we could not find anything. After starting the process and being a thorn in Skip's side, I figured out the only catch was he was old school and honest. He watched every penny like it was his and did not except anything but perfection. He was on site almost every day to make sure the job was being done right. Every invoice was straight from the sub or supplier with no mysterious additions. We had a very large tile shower with 2 shower heads built. About halfway through he noticed the subcontractor had placed a couple tiles on the wall that were not perfectly square. Something we would have never noticed. Out of his own pocket he brought in another Sub and had it torn out and done to his standards. The house appraised for 20% more then we paid to have it built. Since then we have refinanced to get a better rate, and in both appraisals they have listed the construction as excellent. Even after the warranty ran out he has called to see if there was anything we needed fixed, but luckily we have not had to take him up on it. I would not hesitate to recommend Skip to anyone for any project. From a $250,000 house to a $1,000,000 house. He built our dream house!”

“Skip is a very knowledgeable builder who gets the job done and will stand by his work. He is one of the few builders that actually will spend a lot of time on the job site and make sure his subs are doing things correctly. This leads to making sure the "bones" of your house are built correctly like they should! Many other builders we interviewed didn't seem to spend near as much time on site. He is also very easy to work with in making decisions and knows that things change from the plans when doing custom homes. We were slow on making decisions on a few things, but Skip keep the job moving and could make adjustments on the fly.
